Current Projects:
- Fort Dade Archaeological Study, Pasco County. An American
Battlefield Protection Program grant from the National Park Service to investigate the Second Seminole War (1836-39) period fort and associated action areas in the Central Florida campaign of Gen. Thomas Jesup. Project dates: August 2008 -September 2010.
- Yankeetown Cultural Resources Survey. A DEP flow-through grant to research the cultural resources within the Town of Yankeetown, Levy County. The project area includes the 618 acre Withlacoochee Gulf Preserve Park and segements along the Withlacoochee River and the Gulf of Mexico. Project dates: August 2009 -September 2010.
- Fort Defiance/Micanopy and Associated Battlefields, Alachua County. An American Battlefield Protection Program grant from the National Park Service to investigate the location and identification of the historic forts and the associated Welika Pond, Micanopy, and Black Point battlefields during the opening months of the Second Seminole War (1835-1842). Project dates: August 2010 -December 2011.
- Natural and Cultural Resource Survey of Felburn Foundation Land. The study is addressing approximately 460 acres of marsh and island properties bordering the Gulf of Mexico and the Withlacoochee gulf Preserve Park in Yankeetwon, Florida. Project dates: August 2010 -September 2011.

The Withlacoochee Gulf Preserve tract includes diverse physiography with upland pine stands in the east to estuarine islands on its west side that advance into the Gulf of Mexico.
